Tomorrow’s 3 from #Pontefract #Windsor

Good evening all,

Here are our three for tomorrow with reasoning.

15:00 Pontefract 3 Jul 2017

Ebfstallions.com Fillies’ Handicap (Class 3) (3YO plus)

NAP – 1PT WIN

PARTITIA 11/4 is sent North by Sir Michael Stoute to Pontefract where he has a 38% win strike rate with his runners. William Buick is booked for the ride and his recent record for the yard is an even more impressive 44% strike which was enough to grab our attention. A look at the form tells us he is a two time winner over the trip who forgiven his last run on softer than ideal can be considered to be taking a step back in class. Should certainly be there at the business end to give us a run for our money.

19:00 Windsor 3 Jul 2017

James Denley 60th Birthday Fillies’ Handicap (Class 5) (3YO plus)

NB – 1PT WIN

Monday nights at Windsor has become somewhat of a hunting ground in recent years for Richard Hannon and he’ll be expecting a winner or two on the card tomorrow. CASTELLATED 6/1 has not got the most flattering form line but has run better than that would suggest on a couple of occasions. Finds herself slipping down the weights now and thrown in with her own sex which could provide the key for getting this one back in the winners enclosure.

21:00 Windsor 3 Jul 2017

Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club Handicap (Class 5) (3YO plus)

IWAC – 1PT WIN

INLAWED 14/1 put in a decent run on his return to action following being gelded over the winter before putting in a lack lustre performance upped in class next time out. Dropping back in class and upped in trip it is hard to know quite what to expect but the trainer/jockey stats add up so a chance is taken. Richard Kingscote has a 36%strike when riding for the yardwho are in decent nick at present.

Others of interest are

Richard Fahey’s BOUNDSY 7/2 (200 Ponte)

Saturday’s Tips and thoughts

A great days racing awaits us and im greatful of a few hours this morning to disect and discuss with you all our findings on today’s cards.

ASCOT

150

A wide open affair with any one of 5 or 6 holding exellent chances and for that reason we see plenty of value on offer. Our selection ORBASA 9/1 is certainly one of those few who can go onto win this. Paul Nichols needs no introductions when talking about big race Saturdays and this selection showed a liking for this course when 2nd here last term. Today’s race also represents a marked drop in class and if putting his poor reappearance run behind him will take all the beating.

300

This race is the first of 2 that has given us a real headache. Paul Nichols has 2 in here with excellect chances, both are previous course winners and will certainly be there at the end today. LE MERCURY has had two decent runs this term already and another would not surprise today turned out quickly once more. Our preference however is for the other horse from the yard IRISH SAINT 8/1 Ran encouragingly on reappearance and won a race here at this time last year looked in need of his pipe opener but will be ready for action today. This race should certainly be one that he is winning.

335

Another race which we cannot look too far past Paul Nichols. WHO DARES WINS was very impressive last time out but i feel a 9lb rise will tether his chances today in a hot looking race. Of the Nichols 3 my preference and selection for today is MODUS 9/1 He is the choice mount of no less than 5 McManus horse here for top jockey Barry Geraghty. The selection is coming to the boil and improved on his reappearance when reversing the form with STERNRUBIN next time round. Should go close today with conditions to suit.

HAYDOCK

1150

A juicy priced selection and the sole one from this track today. HOLLYWOOD ALL STARS 22/1 . Trainer was among the winners yesterday and has a decent record at the course. Soft ground is likely to suit and ran a couple of crackers this time last year and if ready will be on the premise today.

NEWCASTLE

220

Neil Mullholland has had a blistering season so far and ranks among the most improved yards in recent years, his entry here has been running well and comes into this with an excellent chance. LEE SIDE LADY 8/1 Ran into one last time out and should run his race again today if getting the jumping right at the business end.

255

BERNARDELLI 6/1 is a previous course and distance winner and could upset the fav here today. 3 miles last time out was a bit too far and this return to a more suitable trip will help. The conditions today will suit and he is certainly capable off this mark.

Today’s #FreeTips from #Sandown #FfosLas

sandownjtEmma Lavelle sends just the one to Sandown today where she has enjoyed 3 wins from her last 4 runners and that is our NAP today COURT BY SURPRISE 11/2 (325) Has not really put in any sort of performance in the last 12 months yet is still percervered with and returns to a track where he has gone close on more than one occasion. goes off bottom weight which could prove to be the difference if they go a good gallop.

ffoslasjtA little pop at an outsider is next in the form of todays IWAC selection DISTANT HIGH 80/1 who was an average 60ish performer on the flat and if transfering that to hurdles should be around the 100 mark so should not be too far behind these. Would possibly be better with a little more juice in the ground but we are hopeful that he will run into one of the 3 places available.

The NB is up next BOB FORD 11/1 This is very much Rebecca Curtis stomping ground and after a lack lustre seson last year she has started this term in fine fettle. The selection is another that would likely prefer a little more give in the ground but i think we can ignore last years form figures and look out for a much better year this time around. Is sent back hurdling today which he has not done for quite some time and i suspect that could be to protect his chasing mark for bigger things to come but he won 2 from only 3 shots over hurdles and this is a drop in class for the old boy.

Lastly ANGEL FACE 10/1 contests a very open race and has performed well in recent runs. Consistent if nothing else and looks a little overpriced for this race. Has been freshened up with a short break and could go one better today.
